SAY WHAT?!

SAY WHAT?!

Why is it that we are afraid to truly say what we feel in our hearts sometimes.  You ever have someone say to you, "how are you," and you respond, "fine," even though at that moment you may not be feeling fine.    Well, join the club because so many of us respond in this way like it's been programmed into us to do so.

Honestly, I think that people would be shocked if we responded in a negative way like saying, "I'm not good," and went on to tell them why and spilled our woes from our heart and I bet most people wouldn't know how to respond once a person doing this was finished.

We at Ed's Place decided to do an experiment and spend a day just speaking our true minds to people and being totally honest in our feelings while trying not to hurt or offend anyone and we found it to be so refreshing and quite amusing.  The looks on some people face were classic and not one person was hurt, offended and we found ourselves even getting a few laughs out of people because they found humor and appreciation in our honesty.  Yes, It took an effort to truly say what we wanted to say to people with no restraints or hesitation because we were all so used to holding back but in the end, we all agreed that it was very liberating.

So go ahead my friend take a day to be you, to not be politically correct, to honestly present your feelings when the opportunity arises and to find strength and liberation in your honesty.  Don't be mean or cruel but speak your true mind, your truth and throw out the fear of worrying about what someone is thinking or what their opinion will be of you.  Just remember don't be hurtful, don't jeopardize a job or relationship but just one day say what you feel need to be said if possible.  This may actually become a habit and you may be one of the few who can truly walk through life being your true self and presenting your true self to others and feeling comfortable doing it.

We at Ed's Place declare one day for you as your, "SAY WHAT?!" day.  Enjoy it and please know that your true feelings matter, your opinions are welcomed and we'd love to hear what' is truly in your heart.  'SAY WHAT?!"
