Words of encouragement

Your Soul

Hold on to your soul for it is your essence.  It holds the key to you.  Do not allow anyone the opportunity, the chance or the means to take it away.

There will be those who will creep into your heart and try to strip away your existence.  If you hold on to your soul, you will hold on to yourself.

A heart can be broken, faith can be shattered, wisdom deceived, trust destroyed, love misused, kindness detrimental.

If you hold on to your soul, allow no person to take it.

You can be

…yourself .

I could spend my days feeling sorry for myself, gathering my tears until they over flow.

I could question God’s wisdom and ask Him why I had to endure the heartbreaks in my life.

I could curse my existence, sacrifice my soul and pierce my heart with tears.

I could even give up and find a hiding place to curl up in and forget about the world.

I choose though, to dry my tears,

find strength in my heartbreaks,

cherish my life,

nurture my soul,

open my heart to God’s love

walking through the world He gave me

gathering the flowers

enjoying the trees

basking in the sun

Dust Yourself Off

If you fall get up brush the dust off your backside and continue.  Don’t stay down basking in the moment waiting for your sympathy party to begin, because that is precious time that you have wasted and you have already slightly fell behind by falling.

If you fall and it hurts, laugh it off and keep going.  Don’t wait for someone to patch up your wounds or for a doctor to take away your pain.  You know laughter is the best dose of medicine and with laughter you will soon forget you were ever hurt.

If you fall, look down, look around and see what brought you down.  Whatever it was keep your eyes on the road ahead of you and be sure to avoid spots like the one that caused your fall.

If you fall, don’t get discouraged and decide not to move forward anymore, remember you fell after you first step in life; you fell after the second step; and you wall probably fall again.

What makes it okay is that you are able to get up, look back, dust yourself off and keep going.
